Umbo ships only within the contiguous 48 US states. Its policy rules out Alaska, Hawaii, US territories and every international address, so shoppers in Canada, Australia and the UK cannot order from getumbo.com. Orders are processed in 1 to 3 business days, and delivery usually takes 3 to 7 business days after that. At checkout we were quoted $4.90 for Economy (5 to 8 days) and $6.90 for Standard (3 to 4 days); the FAQ says subscription orders ship free. We found no published Christmas order-by date, so order early in December.

The refund policy gives you 30 days after delivery to ask for a return of an unused item in its original packaging, and Umbo sends a return label if it accepts. It lists perishables, personal care goods, sale items and gift cards as non-returnable, while the FAQ says anyone unhappy can have a full refund, so email [email protected] before returning anything. Damaged, wrong or lost parcels should be reported within 7 days. We found no separate product warranty.

Single-mushroom tinctures: Triple-Extracted Cordyceps, Lion's Mane, Reishi and Turkey Tail, each 1 fl oz at $27.99 or $44.97 for three. Umbo describes them as fruiting-body extracts made with a glycerin aid (under 1% alcohol); the Turkey Tail is described as wild harvested.

Blends: Charge Pro Performance and Recharge Pro Recovery (reishi, turkey tail and tremella) tinctures at $34.99 each, $52.47 for three, or $69.98 for the pair.

Capsules: Myco Rise, 60 vegan capsules with Cordyceps militaris, nicotinamide riboside and rhodiola, at $59.99; Myco Rest, with reishi, lion's mane and L-theanine, at $53.99. Travel packs cost $8.99 and $7.99.

Food and drinks: Honey Walnut Pecan and dairy-free Honey Macadamia energy bars at $4.99 each, with 2,500 mg of five mushrooms per bar (both contain tree nuts), plus Play and Pause hydration drinks, which were sold out when we checked.

Start with the format you will actually use. Tinctures are the cheapest way in at $27.99 for a single mushroom; Umbo suggests one full dropper a day, taken straight or added to a drink, and the glycerin base makes them slightly sweet. Capsules suit people who want a measured dose without the taste: Myco Rise is taken as two capsules in the morning, and Myco Rest is the evening formula. The bars are a snack first, sweetened with honey.

Read the ingredients before you buy. Myco Rise includes nicotinamide riboside, a form of vitamin B3, and rhodiola; Myco Rest includes L-theanine. Umbo's own dosage guide tells readers to consult their doctor, and the product pages we read show no Supplement Facts panel, so ask [email protected] for the full label if you take medication, are pregnant or have allergies.

Umbo's pages describe benefits for energy, focus, sleep and recovery. Those are the brand's descriptions rather than In-Right's, and responses to mushroom supplements vary from person to person.

Umbo's steadiest saving is the 30-day subscription, which takes 15% off tinctures and capsules and, according to the FAQ, ships free. Signing up for emails offers 20% off a first order. Three-packs cut the per-bottle price: single-mushroom tinctures fall from $27.99 to about $14.99 each in a $44.97 three-pack, and Charge or Recharge from $34.99 to about $17.49 each at $52.47.
