Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. The tool runs entirely inside your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent to In-Right or anyone else. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
How does "compress to a target size" work?
The tool tries quality levels until it finds the highest one that fits your limit. If even the lowest sensible quality is too big, it reduces the dimensions slightly until the file fits.
Why did my PNG become a JPG?
PNG is lossless, so it cannot be squeezed to an exact size. When you set a target size, images are saved as JPG (or WebP if you choose it) so the target can be met.
Will my image look worse?
Only as much as needed. For most photos, 100KB at typical form sizes is visually indistinguishable from the original.
How do I reduce the file size of a photo?
Drop it here and type the maximum size in KB. The tool lowers the quality step by step and only shrinks the dimensions if it has to. If the photo is far bigger than you need, resizing it to the pixel size you need first also cuts the file size a lot.
