Pros

  • Rated Where It Counts: 4.6 out of 5 across 16,440 Trustpilot reviews, with 87% at five stars, and the company replies to 99% of its negative reviews — usually inside 48 hours.
  • Free Returns That Joybuy Actually Pays For: Thirty days on most products for any reason, with the return label created and prepaid by Joybuy in most cases, and the refund back in three to five business days.
  • Same-Day Where It Reaches: Order by 11am for delivery by 11pm, or by 11pm for next day before 3pm, in Greater London, Luton, Milton Keynes and Birmingham, with 2–5 business days elsewhere in the UK and free delivery over £29.

Cons

  • There is no United States storefront — the country selector covers the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg only, so this is a pick for readers shopping in Europe rather than North America.
  • JoyPlus membership auto-renews after its 30-day free trial at £3.99 a month, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current one, so cancel before the trial ends if you only wanted the free delivery.

The Verdict

What sets Joybuy apart is that JD.com brought its own logistics with it rather than renting someone else's: This is not a marketplace. Joybuy buys direct from brands and stocks its own warehouses — roughly 90,000 square metres across Milton Keynes and Luton — which is why the delivery promise is specific rather than aspirational: order by 11am for delivery by 11pm the same day, or by 11pm for next day before 3pm, in Greater London, Luton, Milton Keynes and Birmingham. Outside those zones it is two to five business days in the UK, two to three in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, and two to five in Germany and France. Delivery is free over £29 and £3.99 below it, with more than 11,000 pick-up points and 400 lockers. The range is broad and the brands are real: Apple, DJI, HP, Hisense, LEGO, Lenovo, LG, Philips, PlayStation, Samsung, Sony, TCL and Xiaomi, alongside a Morrisons partnership on grocery, a Tesco price match on selected lines and a deep Chinese, Japanese and Korean world-food section. Sample pricing runs an Enabot EBO Air 2 camera robot at £79.99 against a £229 list, a 32-roll pack of Elegance toilet tissue at £3.99, twenty packs of NongShim Shin Ramen at £9.99 and a kilo of frozen diced pork ribs at £5.99. The returns position is the strongest part of the offer: 30 days on most products for any reason, undamaged and unused, with the return label created and prepaid by Joybuy in most cases and the refund landing three to five business days after the return is confirmed. Seasonal cooling products carry 14 days instead. Two things to note. JoyPlus, the membership, costs £3.99 a month after a 30-day free trial and auto-renews — cancelling stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current period, and there is a full refund within 30 days of joining only if no benefit has been used. And the important one for most readers here: Joybuy has no United States storefront. The country selector offers the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, and nothing else. It is an excellent retailer if you are shopping from one of those six.

JD.com's European Retailer, Not a Marketplace

Joybuy is JD.com's European online retail business, officially launched in March 2026 and operating in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. The UK entity is Jingdong Retail (UK) Limited, company number 15830555, registered at Floor 3, 20 King Street, London. It is not a marketplace: Joybuy buys stock direct from brands and holds it in its own warehouses, around 90,000 square metres across Milton Keynes and Luton. There is no United States storefront and no US option on the country selector. An earlier, unrelated incarnation of Joybuy as JD.com's cross-border service launched in 2015 and shut down in December 2021; the current business is a separate European operation that began as a UK closed beta in late 2024.

The catalogue spans technology, appliances, beauty, home goods, grocery and everyday essentials, with more than 100,000 products at launch. Named brands include Apple, DJI, HP, Hisense, LEGO, Lenovo, LG, Nutribullet, Philips, PlayStation, Samsung, Sony, TCL and Xiaomi, and brand flagship stores run for Enabot, Yeelight and Bottle Bottle. UK grocery includes a Morrisons partnership covering hundreds of own-label lines, a Tesco price match on selected products, and a substantial Chinese, Japanese and Korean world-food range. Sample current pricing from its own listing pages: an Enabot EBO Air 2 mobile indoor security camera robot at £79.99 against a £229.00 list; an Enabot SE home security camera at £47.99 from £119.00; a 32-roll pack of Elegance CloudSoft toilet tissue at £3.99 from £7.50; twenty 120g packs of NongShim Shin Ramen at £9.99 from £19.99; frozen diced Spanish pork ribs, one kilo, at £5.99; and J-Basket udon noodles at £0.65.

Delivery is free on orders over £29 and £3.99 below that, with no surcharge for speed. The JoyExpress same-day promise is order by 11am for delivery by 11pm, or by 11pm for next day before 3pm, currently covering Greater London, Luton, Milton Keynes and Birmingham; it is described as available on select products in select cities rather than guaranteed. Elsewhere in the UK, partnered logistics deliver in two to five business days, with the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg at two to three and Germany and France at two to five, bulky items in France taking up to seven. Carriers include JoyExpress, DPD and Royal Mail, and the UK service excludes Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. Returns run 30 days on most products for any reason if undamaged and unused, reduced to 14 days on designated seasonal cooling products such as fans and air conditioners; in most cases the return label is created and prepaid by Joybuy, and refunds land three to five business days after the return is confirmed. Joybuy is not the manufacturer and publishes no blanket warranty of its own — warranty terms are per product, with statutory UK and EU consumer rights on top.

Two recurring-payment programmes are worth understanding. Repeat & Save, launched in July 2026, schedules recurring deliveries of eligible groceries and household essentials at a stated saving of up to 15% in the UK, with no membership fee, no commitment, a reminder before each delivery, and the ability to skip, amend or cancel any upcoming order from the site or app. JoyPlus is the paid membership: unlimited free delivery with no minimum spend, member-only prices and JoyPoints at one point per pound, priced at £3.99 a month at the launch rate or £2.99 for students, with a 30-day free trial. It auto-renews unless cancelled before the next billing date, and cancelling through the app or website stops the next renewal while benefits run to the end of the current period; a full refund is available within 30 days of joining only if no benefit has been used, and memberships redeemed with a promotional or gift code are non-refundable. On independent record Joybuy is the strongest performer we have reviewed in this category: 4.6 out of 5 across 16,440 Trustpilot reviews, 87% five-star and 7% one-star, with the company replying to 99% of negative reviews typically within 48 hours. Praise concentrates on next-day delivery reliability and below-supermarket pricing; complaints cluster on stock availability at checkout, returns friction and parcels left in the open.

About this review

How this was written, who paid for what, and how the verdict stays independent.

Is this Joybuy review sponsored?

No. Joybuy did not pay for this write-up, see it before publication, or have any say in the verdict. If we earn anything it is a commission after you buy, and it comes out of the merchant’s margin rather than your price.

How was the Joybuy assessed?

By using it and by checking the claims made about it against what it actually does. Where our time with something has been limited, the review says so rather than implying more testing than happened.

What else have you reviewed in Tech?

Everything in Tech sits in the review library, where you can filter by budget and sort by rating, price or how recently it landed.

Do you update reviews after publishing?

Yes — when a product changes, when a price moves for good, or when we get something wrong. Corrections are made on the piece itself with a note saying what changed.
