How does "Fit to one page" work?
It measures the real PDF and, if it runs over, tightens spacing first, then text size and margins in small steps. Text never goes below 8.5 pt. If it still does not fit, nothing is changed and it suggests what to trim.
Should my resume be one page?
One page suits most people with under about ten years of experience. With more, two full pages are fine. Cutting older or weaker bullets usually reads better than shrinking the text.
Is the PDF download really free?
Yes. Many online builders let you write for free and then charge to download. Here the PDF, Word and plain-text downloads are free, with no sign-up and no watermark. A free account only adds room for more saved resumes.
Is the PDF ATS-friendly?
Yes. Every word is real, selectable text in the standard PDF fonts (Helvetica or Times, the "standard 14" fonts of ISO 32000-1, section 9.6.2.2), in reading order, with no images for key information. In the two-column template the main column is stored first, so applicant-tracking systems read it in the right order.
Is my resume uploaded anywhere?
No. Your resume is saved only in this browser on this device, and the PDF and Word files are made on your device too. Use Save backup to keep a copy or move it to another device.
