EcoFlow product lines in Canada
TRAIL DC packs (192Wh and 288Wh) are DC-only power for phones, lights and fridges on the trail. The RIVER 3 family is small and light: the RIVER 3 Plus stores 286Wh, gives 600W (1200W X-Boost), switches over in under 10 ms as a desk UPS and expands to 858Wh with an extra battery.
The DELTA 3 series is the middle of the range. The DELTA 3 Classic stores 1024Wh, gives 1800W and charges to 80% in 45 minutes; the DELTA 3 Max reaches 2048Wh and the DELTA 3 Ultra 3072Wh, and several can be expanded with extra batteries.
For home backup, the DELTA Pro 3 stores 4096Wh, offers 120V and 240V at 4000W and expands to 48kWh in a system, and the DELTA Pro Ultra scales to 90kWh. Smart Home Panel 2 links them to a home circuit panel and requires installation before use. Around them sit dual-fuel Smart Generators, portable solar panels from 45W to 400W, rigid panels, GLACIER fridges and WAVE air conditioners, plus refurbished units.
How to choose a power station
Start with what you need to run and for how long. Watt-hours (Wh) are the fuel tank and watts (W) the tap: a 286Wh RIVER 3 Plus can keep a 3W router going for about 35 hours, while a fridge, microwave or space heater calls for a DELTA 3 at 1800W or more. For a cottage or a long outage, look at the 2048Wh DELTA 3 Max or the 3072Wh DELTA 3 Ultra; for a whole house with 240V appliances, the DELTA Pro 3.
If you plan to recharge from the sun, match the panel to the station's solar input (220W for the RIVER 3 Plus, 500W for the DELTA 3 Classic) and remember that Canadian winter sun is weak. All current models use LFP cells rated for thousands of cycles.
Before you rely on a unit indoors, check its rating plate for a Canadian certification mark (CSA, cUL or cETL), as EcoFlow's own Canadian guide recommends; the store's pages name UL 9540 only for the DELTA Pro 3 and DELTA Pro Ultra. Register every unit in the EcoFlow app, since the longer warranty on several models depends on it.
