Questions
Are my files uploaded to your servers?
No. The tool runs entirely inside your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent to In-Right or anyone else. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
Is an electronic signature on a PDF legally binding?
For most everyday documents, yes. This tool makes a simple electronic signature: a picture of your signature (drawn, typed or uploaded) placed on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so it does not cryptographically seal the file or prove who signed it. In the US (ESIGN Act, 15 U.S.C. § 7001) and the EU (eIDAS Regulation 910/2014, Article 25) an electronic signature cannot be refused legal effect just because it is electronic, and this is how most everyday forms, leases and agreements are signed. Some documents, such as wills or court and property filings, may need a handwritten, witnessed or qualified signature instead.
Can I save my signature for next time?
Yes. Signatures and initials you choose to keep are stored only in this browser on this device, never on our servers. Guests can keep 1, a free account 5 and In-Right Pro 20. Delete them any time from the list.
Can I put my initials on every page?
Yes. Place your initials once, then choose "Apply initials to all pages". They are added in the same spot on every page, and you can still move or remove each one.
Can I do it without a mouse?
Yes. Press Enter on an item to drop it on the page you are viewing, then use the arrow keys to move it (Shift for bigger steps), + and − to resize, Page Up and Page Down to move it to another page, and Delete to remove it. Use the Type tab to create a signature from the keyboard.
Does it work on rotated or scanned pages?
Yes. Rotated pages, scans and pages with unusual sizes are handled, and your signature lands exactly where you placed it in the preview.
