Compress JPEG photos to make them smaller without visibly changing them. Maximum compression uses MozJPEG, so the files still open everywhere.

Uses MozJPEG for JPG, OxiPNG for PNG and the slowest WebP and AVIF settings: often 10–30% smaller at the same quality.

Converted files have location and camera data (EXIF) removed.

    How to use it

    1. Drop your JPG photos.
    2. Keep Maximum compression on, and set the quality (75–85% suits most photos).
    3. Download each photo, or all of them as a ZIP — use Compare to check the result.

    Questions

Are my files uploaded to your servers?

No. The tool runs entirely inside your browser — your files are processed on your own device and never sent to In-Right or anyone else. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.

    What is MozJPEG?

MozJPEG is Mozilla's JPEG encoder. It uses progressive encoding, optimised tables and trellis quantisation to make standard JPG files smaller at the same visual quality, often by 5–15% (Mozilla Research, 2014). The files open in every app.

Can I compress to an exact size?

Yes. Tick "Limit file size" and type the maximum, for example 200 KB. The tool finds the highest quality that fits.

How do I check the quality?

Click Compare next to a finished photo and drag the slider (or use the arrow keys) to see the original and the compressed version side by side.

How many images can I do at once?

Guests can process 10 images at a time, up to 25 MB each. A free account raises that to 50 images, and In-Right Pro to 500.
