Pros
- Marriott Bonvoy Earning: Under a 2021 agreement, participating Royalton resorts joined Marriott's Autograph Collection, so stays can earn Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credits.
- A Resort for Every Travel Style: The homepage lists 25 resorts in eight countries, from family Splash water-park resorts to the adults-only Hideaway and CHIC brands and the wellness-led Vessence.
- Mid-Range All-Inclusive Rates: Kayak's October 2026 pages list Royalton Splash Punta Cana from $150 a night and Royalton Punta Cana from $172, and September is usually the cheapest month.
Cons

- Deposit bookings are charged in full two days before arrival, no changes are allowed within 48 hours of check-in, and some destinations add local fees at the resort, so read the cancellation terms on your confirmation before you pay.
The Verdict
What sets Royalton apart is one all-inclusive brand that covers almost every kind of beach trip, with Marriott Bonvoy points attached: Royalton Hotels & Resorts was called Blue Diamond Resorts until August 2025. It lists 25 resorts across Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Grenada, Barbados and Costa Rica. Family resorts have kids clubs and Splash water parks. Royalton Hideaway and CHIC are adults-only, Vessence focuses on wellness, and Planet Hollywood by Royalton is movie-themed. A 2021 agreement moved the resorts into Marriott's Autograph Collection, and the official site says guests at participating resorts earn Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credits. Diamond Club rooms add butler service, private pools and beach areas, and a lounge. The official FAQ says most resorts sit 15 to 45 minutes from a major international airport. Prices sit in the middle of the all-inclusive market. Kayak's October 2026 pages show Royalton Splash Punta Cana from $150 a night, Royalton CHIC Punta Cana from $152, Royalton Punta Cana from $172, Royalton Antigua from $244, Royalton Blue Waters in Jamaica from $264 and Royalton CHIC Antigua from $291. Royalton Saint Lucia starts at $417. Late summer and early fall are the cheapest times and December the most expensive: Royalton Punta Cana averaged $245 a night in September against $578 in December. Rates on the official site are quoted in the currency you choose, and you contract with the resort itself. The drawbacks are real. Trustpilot rates the brand 1.8 out of 5 from 132 reviews, 64 percent of them one star, and the company has never invited reviews there, so the sample leans toward unhappy guests. Complaints focus on food, room upkeep and service. Deposit bookings are charged in full two days before arrival, and no changes are allowed within 48 hours of check-in. Some destinations add local fees at the resort, and disputes go to arbitration where the resort is located. Pick the resort first and read its recent reviews. Choose a refundable rate where one is offered, and check the cancellation terms on your confirmation before paying.

You book with the specific resort, which the terms name as the sole contracting party, and rates are quoted in the currency you select. Prepaid rates are charged in full at booking. Deposit rates hold a card and charge the full stay two days before arrival, and the same card and cardholder must be present at check-in. Participating resorts belong to Marriott's Autograph Collection, so stays can earn Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credits.
Cancellation rules depend on the rate and appear on your confirmation. No changes are allowed within 48 hours of arrival, and some destinations charge environmental or government fees at check-in. The terms cap liability for lost belongings at $100 and send disputes to arbitration where the resort is located. Independent feedback is mixed: Trustpilot shows 1.8 out of 5 from 132 reviews, while Kayak rates Royalton Saint Lucia 7.4 out of 10 from 265 reviews.
Royalton Resorts: what to know before you buy
Royalton runs 25 all-inclusive beach resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. Here is how booking, prices, Marriott Bonvoy earning and cancellations work before you commit.
Booking, payment & cancellations
When you book on royaltonresorts.com, your contract is with the individual resort, which Royalton's terms call the sole contracting party. Rates are quoted in the currency you select on the site.
Prepaid rates are charged in full by credit card at booking. Deposit rates need a card to guarantee the room, and the full stay is charged two days before arrival. The same card and cardholder must be present at check-in.
Cancellation rules depend on the rate and are printed on your booking confirmation. No changes are allowed within 48 hours of arrival. Some destinations collect environmental or government fees at check-in that are not in the room rate. Disputes go to binding arbitration in the country where the resort is located.
Prices by resort and season
Kayak's October 2026 pages give a fair sense of the spread. Royalton Splash Punta Cana starts from $150 a night, Royalton CHIC Punta Cana from $152, Royalton Punta Cana from $172, Royalton Antigua from $244, Royalton Blue Waters from $264 and Royalton CHIC Antigua from $291. Royalton Saint Lucia starts at $417.
Season matters most. Royalton Punta Cana averaged $245 a night in September and $578 in December, and Royalton Antigua averaged $370 in September against $806 in December. Suites cost far more: PureWow's January 2026 review quoted Royalton Riviera Cancun's Presidential One-Bedroom from $532 a night.
Marriott Bonvoy and Diamond Club
In 2021, Blue Diamond Resorts (now Royalton) signed a long-term agreement with Marriott, and its resorts joined the Autograph Collection. Royalton's FAQ says guests at participating resorts earn Marriott Bonvoy points and Elite Night Credits.
Diamond Club is Royalton's upgraded room tier. It adds butler service, preferred room locations, a private lounge, premium drinks and pool and beach areas reserved for Diamond Club guests. Some services depend on the resort, and a minimum stay may apply.
What guests say
The brand's Trustpilot page rates it 1.8 out of 5 from 132 reviews, with 64 percent at one star. Royalton has never invited reviews there, so the page mostly draws guests who chose to complain. Common themes are food quality, room upkeep and slow service.
Resort-level scores are steadier. Kayak shows Royalton Saint Lucia at 7.4 out of 10 from 265 reviews, and Tripadvisor ranks Royalton Riviera Cancun 22nd of 59 hotels in Puerto Morelos from 767 reviews. Read recent reviews for the exact resort and room category before booking.

No. Royalton Resorts did not pay for this write-up, see it before publication, or have any say in the verdict. If we earn anything it is a commission after you buy, and it comes out of the merchant’s margin rather than your price.
How was the Royalton Resorts assessed?
By using it and by checking the claims made about it against what it actually does. Where our time with something has been limited, the review says so rather than implying more testing than happened.
What else have you reviewed in Travel & Tours?
Everything in Travel & Tours sits in the review library, where you can filter by budget and sort by rating, price or how recently it landed.
Do you update reviews after publishing?
Yes — when a product changes, when a price moves for good, or when we get something wrong. Corrections are made on the piece itself with a note saying what changed.
